The tenth and last full-length studio album by the legendary American Heavy Metal singer and his band.
Unlike many in the aging Metal community, Ronnie James Dio still possesses the same powerful voice that fueled the genre through its late-'70s and '80s heydays, and the reigning dark prince of Elfdom and two-time Black Sabbath frontman is still capable of writing a killer songs.
"Master Of The Moon" marks the return of guitarist Craig Goldy, who also performed on Dio's "Dream Evil" (1987) and "Magica" (2000). It also features Jeff Pilson on bass, Simon Wright on drums and Scott Warren on keyboards. Featuring the stellar line-up, "Master Of The Moon" features such Dio classics as “One More for the Road” and the title track. Also included is “The Eyes”, which the late singer once noted was one of his all-time favorite tracks recorded by the Dio band.
"Master Of The Moon" was the perfect way to close the solo career of one of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal’s all-time great vocalists, his parting gift. And it is a very good album, full of great Metal songs. Dio's vocals on the album remain as strong as they ever were, demonstrating why he was such a respected singer, the band as well are good, with the guitar in particular demonstrating skill and many great solos. And it is a worthy last outing by one of metals great voices!
The album reached #7 in US Top Independent Albums. This CD is a must-have for all Dio collectors!!
