Re-release of the second EP by the legendary British Symphonic Gothic Black Metal band.
It contains two original compositions: the title track and "Of Dark Blood and Fucking". The rest of the disc consists of two cover versions, one remix of title track and one re-recorded track from the “Dusk... and Her Embrace” album.
The mini-album was recorded during a period of upheaval for the band, with Gian Pyres and Nicholas Barker leaving prior to its release (Pyres would return for the recording of “Midian”) and Stuart Anstis and Les Smith departing the band soon afterwards. The music on “From The Cradle To Enslave” was originally featured on the Cradle of Filth home video/VHS “PanDaemonAeon” (later re-released on DVD), and was released several months before this EP. "From the Cradle to Enslave" was the first of Cradle of Filth's songs to have an accompanying music video. The video was directed by Alex Chandon, who also directed the 2001 horror film “Cradle of Fear” in which Dani Filth appeared. The music video features explicit images of nudity and gore and was released in two versions, one edited and one unedited. Both versions can be found on the “PanDaemonAeon” DVD.
The EP is a worthy addition to any fan's collection, featuring several songs that rank with the best of the band's work!
